Little Project = Big Satisfaction! GARAGE DOOR!

I'll start with this small but very important project!  I am so excited for warm weather so that I can complete my garage overhaul... stay tuned for that in a later post!  However, I had to start with the door that leads from the house to the garage.  This is a great idea I saw on line.  I wanted to use it, but it wouldn't work on my front door.  SO, how about the door to the garage! I was in the process of painting all of my entrance/exit doors and pantry door black.  I often use black in a room to give it some weight or balance.  I've been known to say that black is my favorite color.  The door was a plain ole white, we painted it black on the house side and on the garage side.  I then ordered a vinyl cut-out off of etsy with our house number for the garage side.  It adds a little vintage look.  However, you'll see that my style is more on the transitional side.  AND my garage plan, the plan in my head (refer to my first post) is a little on the modern/contemporary side.  Well, there you are  - my first project post!  It's a small one, but has added so much charm to my door and I love seeing it as I open the garage door everyday when I return home.
Thanks for visiting my blog.  Love to share my ideas, but I'm not a pro!  It's my hobby!  A creative outlet is great therapy!  Look forward to your next visit.

 This is the door before.

 Door from garage side before.

 Add some black paint!

Add the vinyl cut-out and YES!  That's what I had in my head!
(I'll get better with the photography!)

The finished project!  Love seeing this when I drive in after work!
Tip:  Make sure you break big projects (Garage Overhaul) into little projects.

reDesign to share with YOU!

Well, I have finally done it!  I've decided to officially share my love of redesign with my friends. I love projects and usually have many going at the same time.  It will be so much fun to share them with you and this will serve as a little motivation for me. Be patient with me as I learn the art of blogging.  I intend to post at least once a week at first.  I have several projects that I'll be sharing with you.

reDesign:  Wow!  So many different meanings in that word.  It has so much potential.  Just like the many projects that I'll be sharing with you.  I often will say, "DON'T BUY at RETAIL, if you don't have to!".
I'm very good, in fact, I'm an expert in seeing exactly what the design should look like in my head.  I know exactly what piece I need.  Then... the hunt begins.  I love the thrill of the hunt.  I often have to go shopping, searching, hunting on my own, because as those that have attempted to go with me can attest to, I will not leave any stone unturned.  It's exhausting and exhilarating at the same time.  BUT... when I find it.... it IS FANTASTIC!  It's perfect, it's exactly what the room needed!  Do you know what I mean?  I know that you're out there!! That excitement and passion is what I'll be sharing with you.  Not only do I love doing this in my home, but I'm also very fond of the presentation for a party!  LOVE IT!!!  I'll share those as they come up too! Can't wait to share my first project with you!  Which one will it be???
